Job Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Security clearance required
- Hold a BS/BA with 12 years related experience or HS diploma with 15 years experience
- Graduate of AH-64 Instructor Pilot Course
- Qualified on AH-64 series aircraft
- Current flight time on AH-64D or E within last 180 days
- FAA Class II Flight Physical or GACVA equivalent
- Minimum 2000 flight hours on AH-64
- Minimum 3000 rotary wing flight hours
- Minimum 1000 Instructor Pilot flight hours on AH-64D/E
- Minimum 150 NVG flight hours
- Minimum 500 NVS flight hours
- Knowledge of Army Aviation training concepts, administration, and logistics
- Strong English communication skills
- Ability to work well with teams and customers professionally
Job Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- BS/BA with 12 years of experience or HS diploma or equivalent with 15 years of experience
- Graduate of the AH-64 Instructor Pilot Course at an authorized Aviation Proponent School
- Qualified on the AH-64 Series Aircraft
- Experience as an Aviation Tactical Operations Officer/Aviation Mission Survivability Officer
- Previously qualified as an AH-64D Instructor Pilot
- Experienced as an AH-64D/E Master Gunner
- Flown an AH-64D or E within 180 days
- Preferred FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Instructor Pilot Certificate (CFE) or equivalent
- Preferred FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Helicopter Instrument Instructor Pilot Certificate (CFII) or equivalent
- Minimum 2000 total flight hours in AH-64 series aircraft
- Minimum 3000 total rotary wing flight hours
- Minimum 1000 Instructor Pilot flight hours in AH-64D/E series aircraft
- Minimum 150 Night Vision Goggle (NVG) flight hours
- Minimum 500 Night Vision System (NVS) flight hours
- Experience teaching at USAACE as an AH-64D/E AQC flight line instructor
- Experience with Aviation Mission Planning System (AMPS) and Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE) procedures
Job Duties
- Conduct flight training and pilot evaluation
- Advise on AH-64D training and qualifications
- Provide input on training programs, identify deficiencies and recommend fixes
- Validate training materials including TADSS
- Ensure training aligns with Apache operational requirements and aircraft configurations
- Support Longbow Crew Trainer production, testing, and acceptance
- Participate in design and requirement reviews
- Support field operations, deployments, and sustainment activities
- Adhere to AS9100 policies, procedures, and guidelines
