Job Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent industry experience
- Five years of general hands-on culinary and/or pastry experience
- Multiple years of food service management experience
- Current ServSafe certification
- Ability to operate basic computer software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to staying updated with industry trends
Job Qualifications
- Associate degree from a regionally accredited college or university or equivalent industry experience
- Five years of hands-on culinary and/or pastry experience as a line employee
- Multiple years of food service management experience
- Direct food service management experience
- Current ServSafe certification
- Proficiency with basic computer software
- Knowledge of current trends in the food and beverage industry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective teaching and mentoring
Job Duties
- Teach Culinary or Pastry Arts courses using diverse instructional methods including lecture, technology, demonstration, and practical application
- Provide students with syllabi that comply with college, department, and program requirements
- Evaluate student performance effectively while adhering to assessment guidelines
- Communicate promptly and clearly with students
- Develop professional relationships with faculty and staff within the department and college
- Participate in program and division meetings and activities
- Stay informed of current industry trends and engage with local professional organizations
