Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree with five (5) years of experience in the culinary industry
- ability to pass pre-employment criminal background and drug screen as required as a condition of employment
Job Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts or related discipline with three (3) years of work experience
- experience at the management/supervisory level
- current ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
- American Culinary Federation (ACF) certification or the ability to certify within 12 months of employment
- valid Louisiana driver’s license
Job Duties
- Implementing changes as necessary to comply with ACF requirements, industry standards, and student needs
- submission of annual reports and other required accreditation information
- coordinate educational experiences for the program including, curriculum development and revision, course syllabi development and revision, textbook review and adoption, and coordination of clinical/field experience
- develop and evaluate program assessments and outcomes
- establish and maintain clinical affiliation agreements and contracts
- maintain program records on clinical applicants, students and graduates, as required by the accrediting agency, licensing agencies, regulatory board, and institutional guidelines
- provide input on program equipment needs and order supplies for program as needed
- remain current on regulatory, accreditation, and technical developments in the program field
- maintain current information on job availability and salary for the program graduates
- meet criteria for professional growth as required by the institution, accrediting and regulatory agencies
- promote the program within the institution and community
- establish annual program goals and objectives, based on program assessment, advisory committee input and institutional goals
- advise and counsel program students and potential students
- prepare and review applicant files and assist in the selection of clinical students from eligible applicants
- other duties as assigned
