Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- College course work in related field helpful
- Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
- Medium work exerting up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Effective verbal and written communication with all levels
- Ability to listen, understand and clarify concerns
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner
- Attend all required meetings and trainings
- Maintain regular attendance per hotel standards
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including proper uniform and nametag

Job Duties
- Ensure employees are attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees
- Inspect all rooms assigned to Room Attendants daily to meet standards and productivity
- Notify Room Attendants of deficiencies and ensure corrections are made
- Ensure daily assignment records are completed and submitted
- Maintain key control
- Supervise Laundry employees when applicable
- Communicate with Guest Services regarding discrepant rooms
- Handle lost and found items according to standards
- Carry active pager or radio for Front Office and Engineering contact
- Oversee daily work assignments for Room and House Attendants
- Monitor cleanliness of housekeeping carts, linen closets, control closets, stairways and landings
- Report on out-of-order room progress to Guest Services Manager
- Initiate and follow through on maintenance work orders
- Oversee training of Room Attendants
- Ensure completion of biannual cleaning and maintenance projects
- Assist Housekeeping Management with Standard of the Week preparation
- Monitor VIP guests and special requests
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
