Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer rank of Lieutenant Colonel (O-5)
- Military AFSC 8170
- One year specialized experience at GS-11 or equivalent level
- Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods for assessment and improvement of unit plans and programs
- Understanding of military command structure, missions, and organizational relationships
- Skill in oral and written communication for briefings and reports
- Knowledge of inspection criteria, deployment and employment processes
- Ability to analyze, review, and assess unit effectiveness
- Skill in identifying compliance issues and providing expert technical advice
- Knowledge of interrelationships of data from units with different missions
- Ability to plan, organize and direct staff functions of a small to medium sized organization
Job Duties
- Oversees, plans and executes Unit Effectiveness Inspection program
- Develops, plans, executes, and controls inspections and exercises to accurately assess unit effectiveness and readiness
- Leads, trains, manages Wing Inspection Team (WIT)
- Attends meetings, conferences, briefings, and seminars related to program planning, advanced technologies and support system concepts
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities less than 25 percent of the time (for positions with less than 5 full-time subordinates)
