Job Requirements

  • 2 plus years of customer service and backhaul/load board experience preferred
  • previous outbound call center or inside sales experience
  • transportation-related experience preferred
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • strong phone presence and ability to engage
  • working knowledge of load boards and backhauls
  • proficiency in Microsoft products preferred
  • excellent schedule management and team communication skills
  • strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • multitasking skills with decision-making and prioritization capabilities
  • teamwork and independent working ability
  • ability to thrive in fast-paced and deadline-driven environments

Job Qualifications

  • 2 plus years of customer service and backhaul/load board experience preferred
  • previous experience in an outbound call center, inside sales, or related sales experience
  • 2 plus years of transportation-related experience preferred
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • strong professional phone presence with engaging tone
  • working knowledge of load boards and backhauls
  • strong ability to build relationships via phone
  • computer skills involving Microsoft products preferred
  • ability to manage schedules and communicate with team
  • good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • ability to make decisions, problem solve, and prioritize assignments
  • ability to work in a team environment while delivering independent results
  • ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment

Job Duties

  • Making multiple calls per day to brokers and managing load boards to fill existing fleet capacity
  • presenting the company’s current capabilities and transportation vision to gain new business
  • frequently following up with brokers and load boards
  • processing onboarding paperwork for all providers
  • working closely with Transportation Director and Market Managers to manage current fleet schedules and bring in new equipment for new opportunities
  • producing sales funnel reports and maintaining updated data
  • gathering data to qualify potential clients
