Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- prior sales or customer service experience
- strong self-motivation
- good interpersonal skills
- ability to work as a team member
- excellent communication and negotiation skills
- ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- willingness to travel occasionally
- college degree preferred
- industrial distribution or PPE, welding, and gases knowledge preferred

Job Duties
- Hold safety as the utmost priority
- follow all company policies and procedures including safety, IT security, anti-trust, and fraud prevention
- make proactive telephone calls to retain and grow customer accounts
- receive and professionally handle inbound customer calls
- negotiate fair pricing to protect profitability
- attend all required trainings to remain current on product knowledge and sales techniques
- document sales quotes and orders in SAP
- manage customer returns and credits
- use Salesforce.com to track sales opportunities and customer information
- utilize value-added tools such as emarket, airgas.com, and marketing materials
- collaborate with sales managers to improve call techniques and territory planning
- assist with peer training and mentoring
- participate actively in team and departmental meetings
- perform other position-related duties as assigned
