Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • must possess or be able to obtain a valid servers' permit
  • availability to work seasonal shifts primarily from April to September
  • ability to stand for extended periods and carry trays of food and beverages
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a valid servers' permit
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • customer service experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Promptly and warmly greet guests
  • take food and beverage orders efficiently following established steps of service
  • deliver food promptly and professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards
  • follow up periodically to assist with additional guest needs or requests
  • demonstrate complete understanding of menu items and ingredients and advise guests on food and drink combinations
  • accommodate reasonable guest requests and preferences, including knowledge of specialized diets and allergens
  • communicate directly with back-of-house staff to ensure correct order delivery and accommodation of special requests
  • exhibit exceptional communication skills and ability to work well with others
  • remain flexible and patient in interactions with guests and staff
  • collect tickets and follow proper cash-handling procedures
  • promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
  • maintain sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information shared
  • promptly address complaints or issues and relay relevant information to supervisors
  • ensure service areas are properly set up before and after service periods and maintain cleanliness
  • operate various equipment necessary for service
  • collaborate with staff from other departments during special events and functions
  • perform other duties as assigned
