Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have a good driving record from Department of Public Safety
  • Must complete seclusion and restraint training within 90 days
  • Ability to work occasional overtime and flexible hours
  • Ability to lift or hold patients unassisted
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely
  • Visual acuity and good hearing for driving
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Must meet hospital and regulatory training standards

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Valid class-specific driver’s license applicable to patient transportation
  • Ability to complete training in seclusion and restraint procedures
  • Experience in patient interaction and care preferred
  • Good driving record as verified by Department of Public Safety
  • Ability to lift, pull, twist, stoop, and assist patients physically
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Job Duties

  • Transport patients to and from the facility
  • Provide continuous observation and interaction with patients during transport
  • Ensure safety of patients at all times
  • Assist patients with mobility as needed
  • Maintain a valid and class-specific driver's license
  • Complete required training in seclusion and restraint procedures within 90 days
  • Work occasional overtime and flexible hours as required
