Job Description

Kraft Heinz Cedar Rapids is a vital production facility located at 4601 C Street SW, Cedar Rapids, IA. It operates as a 3-shift manufacturing plant specializing in frozen food products such as soups and macaroni and cheese. This non-union facility employs approximately 200 hourly staff members who are a mix of temporary and full-time associates. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a manufacturing or food production environment preferred
  • ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • willingness to work 3rd shift hours from 9:30pm to 6:00am
  • must adhere to safety protocols including use of PPE
  • ability to perform inventory checks and documentation
  • strong attention to detail
  • good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Abide by a strict attendance policy
  • weigh raw ingredients according to recipe
  • organize ingredients by placing them in barrels and drums
  • perform constant accurate inventory checks on ingredients
  • stage materials according to recipe
  • complete paperwork and IQS entries
  • cover staged ingredients
  • place recipe tags on barrels and carts
  • clean and sanitize work areas
  • assist with other recipes as needed
  • perform equipment assembly and changeovers
  • verify product quality, item numbers, and weights
  • adhere to all required safety practices including PPE and JSA
