Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience working with students and student groups in a university campus recreation program or 2 years related recreation program experience
- Ability to work with diverse constituencies
- Ability to prioritize multiple work responsibilities in time-sensitive situations
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Ability to supervise and delegate work to student staff
- Ability to exercise good judgment
- Ability to handle different situations with confidence and leadership and be flexible
- Knowledge of supervising and programming recreation facilities
- Ability to use PC and Mac operating systems and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

Job Duties
- Provide direction, training, oversight, and scheduling of student staff for TRECS and HPER
- Support the implementation, review, and enforcement of facility policies and procedures including facility access, emergency action plans, and standard operating procedures
- Work collaboratively with the Assistant Director to assess and mitigate current and future risk and ensure compliance with departmental, university, and local standards
- Facilitate regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of service and foster a positive work culture
- Assist in coordinating operational logistics for recreation events, reservations, and special events
- Direct purchasing and inventory processes for facility supplies, equipment, and materials to ensure timely procurement and budget compliance
- Plan and schedule one program a month during the fall and spring semesters
- Input, check and approve student payroll on a bi-weekly basis
