Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, Business Communications or related field, or 2 years additional work experience in lieu of degree
  • 2 years of experience in technical writing or instructional design
  • Ability to communicate in an engaging and motivating manner
  • Ability to complete Flight Attendant Initial Training
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Education, Business Communications, or related field or equivalent work experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in technical writing or instructional design
  • Solid understanding of instructional design and performance improvement best practices
  • Experience developing courseware to industry and adult learning standards including experiential, social, and micro-learning
  • Ability to communicate engagingly with inflight leadership and stakeholders
  • Ability to complete Flight Attendant Initial Training and certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong project management, team leadership, customer facilitation, and organizational skills
  • Creative and resourceful problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Preferred: At least 2 years of Flight Attendant experience
  • Experience with authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia
  • Multimedia development experience with Adobe Creative Suite applications

Job Duties

  • Apply instructional design methods and best practices to define course requirements and create instructor-led and interactive course content
  • Develop learning objectives, course outlines, lesson plans, and courseware including CBT, multimedia, and job aids that comply with FAA regulations and company policy
  • Ensure training programs conform with 14 CFR Part 121 air carrier operations and inflight operations
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop or revise curriculum based on FAA guidance and certification processes
  • Coordinate with inflight leadership, subject matter experts, other divisions, outside agencies, and vendors
  • Write and maintain technical procedures, documentation, and job aids
  • Perform editing and quality assurance reviews of training materials
  • Manage and improve the Learning Management System (LMS) and associated training programs
  • Create, update, assign courses, and modify student records in the LMS
  • Generate reports to track learner progress and metrics
  • Provide technical support for training content and technology questions
  • Focus on continuous improvement of training methodologies and learning technologies
  • Perform other duties as assigned
