Job Requirements

  • Four years of experience in customer service, inflight services, or related function
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or additional two years of relevant training or experience
  • Ability to complete Alaska Airlines initial training and hold FAA flight attendant certificate
  • Proven ability to problem solve in fast-paced situations
  • Demonstrated coaching and mentoring skills
  • Strong independent and team work skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with operational control systems
  • Ability to write reports and professional correspondence
  • Ability to interpret instructions
  • Physical ability to remain standing for long periods
  • Willingness to fly as crew member during irregular operations
  • Willingness to work various shifts including weekends, holidays, nights, and on-call
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age of 21
  • Authorization to work in the U.S

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in aviation management, business, or related field
  • Four years of experience in customer service, inflight services, or related function
  • Proven ability to problem solve and operate in fast-paced, ambiguous situations
  • Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, and engaging frontline employees
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Familiarity with operational control systems such as Crew Management Systems and Departure Control Systems
  • Strong communication skills including report writing and professional correspondence
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, and schedule-based instructions
  • Physical ability to remain on feet for extended periods
  • Ability and willingness to fly as crew member during irregular operations
  • Willingness to work various shifts including weekends, holidays, nights, and on-call availability
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Serve as the inflight duty manager at the Network Operations Center
  • Act as the VP Inflight Services representative and collaborate with operational stakeholders
  • Respond as the primary first responder during crisis, emergency, or irregular operations
  • Make operational decisions on behalf of inflight leadership outside normal business hours
  • Utilize feedback and monitor base operations to improve flight attendant service levels
  • Interpret and enforce the collective bargaining agreement to ensure compliance
  • Serve as subject matter expert on company policy, contractual issues, FARs, and flight procedures
  • Maintain inflight operations knowledge and participate in required training
  • Participate in projects and meetings supporting inflight services
  • Act as liaison between inflight services and other divisions for consistent service delivery
  • Execute company policy with respect to operational matters
  • Provide input to inflight services leadership
  • Respond to incidents or accidents as necessary
  • Serve as inflight services on-scene responder during incidents and accidents
  • Train to provide on-scene response functions
