Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency
- 5+ years of relevant technical field experience
- ability to conduct training needs assessments
- skilled in developing and designing training programs
- proficient in using various instructional materials and methods
- capability to evaluate trainee progress accurately
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to maintain detailed records
- willingness to stay informed on industry trends
- ability to collaborate with teams
- flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
- physical ability to move or position objects over 50 pounds
- willingness to travel within and outside the district for professional activities
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- 5+ years within related technical field such as industrial maintenance technician, certified state welder, journeyman electrician, millwright machinist, fiber broadband technician, industrial controls technician
- bachelor’s degree or advanced level certification in related field preferred
- experience in adult learning principles and instructional design
Job Duties
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify areas where employees require additional training or development
- develop and design training programs that meet the identified needs, including course outlines, lesson plans, and training materials
- create and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, videos, and other resources
- deliver training sessions, either in person or online, using various methods such as lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice
- evaluate trainee progress and performance, providing feedback and identifying areas for improvement
- maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, course completion, and assessment results
- stay up to date on the latest technical advancements and industry trends to ensure training programs are current and relevant
- collaborate with other trainers, managers, and subject matter experts to develop and implement training programs
