Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health, construction management, engineering or related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience dedicated solely to building construction safety
- At least 5 years of construction safety process management experience
- OSHA Outreach Trainer Certification
- Current certification in First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED within the last 2 years
- Board of Certified Safety Professional Designation such as GSP, ASP, CSP, or CHST
- Ability to pass customer required background and security screenings
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Job Qualifications
- Four-year degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Construction Management or Engineering or related field
- 7+ years dedicated solely to building construction safety
- 5+ years of construction safety process management experience
- OSHA Outreach Trainer Certification
- Current First Aid/CPR/BBP and AED training within 2 years
- Board of Certified Safety Professional Designation (GSP, ASP, CSP, CHST)
- Ability to pass customer required background and security screenings
- Valid driver’s license with a clear record
- Knowledge of safety/environmental principles and techniques
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Professional management, leadership, and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to handle confidential data and maintain privacy
- Ability to manage conflict effectively
Job Duties
- Ensure overall compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety and risk control policies on jobsites
- Lead and enforce safety on multiple construction projects according to staffing requirements
- Identify, eliminate, and control hazardous conditions using safety standards and best practices
- Partner with project executives, managers, superintendents, and foremen
- Mentor and coach onsite crews to promote safety
- Foster relationships with owners, design partners, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Conduct jobsite walkthroughs, safety audits, and training sessions
- Manage safety documentation, track trends, and prepare reports
- Participate in OSHA inspections and accident investigations
- Provide technical direction to onsite safety personnel
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align risk management efforts
