Job Requirements
- Between the ages of 16 and 30 or veteran age 35 or younger
- citizen national or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- valid driver’s license required
- personal vehicle required
- ability to work 40 hours per week from May 18 to August 22 2026
- willingness to live in rustic government housing in Verlot Washington
- ability to engage with visitors and provide accurate information
- good physical condition for field activities

- basic computer skills
- previous experience in public service or interpretation preferred
- knowledge of safety protocols and public etiquette
Job Duties
- Staffing maintenance cleaning of the Verlot Public Service Center
- maintenance cleaning of the Verlot Public Service Center public restroom and Big Four facilities
- answering multiline phone
- greeting visitors and providing hiking recreation information to the visiting public
- processing sales for merchandise and recreation passes
- taking inventory of needed supplies and communicating needs for ordering and restocking
- present interpretive programs that could include talks conducted hikes walks and demonstrations to visitors
