Job Requirements

  • JD, CPA or U.S. Customs broker license
  • minimum 7 years of relevant work experience
  • strong knowledge of global customs, import and export regulations
  • willingness to travel depending on project needs
  • ability to engage clients and market global trade services
  • strong leadership and team supervision skills

Job Qualifications

  • JD, CPA or U.S. Customs broker license
  • approximately 7 or more years of experience in industry, professional services, Fortune 500 companies, or major importers/exporters
  • deep technical knowledge of global customs and trade topics including valuation, classification, country of origin, free-trade agreements, export controls, licensing, and trade sanctions
  • project management experience
  • ability to lead client projects and delegate tasks
  • excellent organizational and communication skills
  • experience working with global teams

Job Duties

  • Presenting EY global trade services to prospective clients
  • developing new client relationships
  • advising current clients on global trade advisory needs
  • developing and executing strategies to manage duty costs
  • utilizing free-trade agreements and transactional structuring
  • managing risks related to global trade
  • improving international trade compliance
  • increasing operational effectiveness of supply chains
  • supervising and mentoring a team of professionals
