Job Requirements

  • JD, CPA or a U.S. Customs broker license
  • seven or more years of related work experience
  • deep technical knowledge of global trade topics
  • ability to travel as required
  • strong client engagement and leadership skills
  • excellent organizational and project management skills
  • positive attitude and motivation

Job Qualifications

  • JD, CPA or a U.S. Customs broker license
  • approximately 7 or more years of related work experience in industry, professional services, Fortune 500 companies or major importers/exporters
  • deep technical knowledge of global customs, import and export topics such as valuation, classification, country of origin, free-trade agreements, export controls, licensing, trade sanctions
  • experience in professional services with ability to develop client value propositions
  • experience with U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Bureau of Industry and Security, Office of Foreign Assets Control, or Directorate of Defense Trade Controls
  • foreign language skills encouraged

Job Duties

  • present the full suite of EY global trade services to prospective clients
  • develop new client relationships and advise current clients on global trade advisory needs
  • develop and execute strategies to manage duty costs using free-trade agreements, special programs, and transactional structuring
  • proactively manage risks of global trade to improve international trade compliance
  • increase operational effectiveness of supply chains
  • stay current on global trade developments and develop innovative service offerings
  • supervise and support a motivated team to reach their full potential
