Job Requirements
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors while visiting customers
- must be able to interact with various customer types, including store greeters and back store receivers
- must be able to carry 20 to 40 pounds
- must maintain a clean vehicle or truck
- must adhere to safety measures including wearing back brace support while picking up cases and bending knees to organize products
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
- 1 plus years experience in retail or field-based sales role
- knowledge of basic computer functions including downloading documents, email, internet, and Microsoft Word
- effective communication and problem-solving skills
- ability to work independently and maintain a professional demeanor
- ability to communicate timely with management via phone or email
- experience using smartphone, smart pad, and computer
- valid driver’s license with full coverage auto insurance and a clean MVR record
- bilingual Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with store managers and key customer decision makers
- ensure company drivers understand expectations and align goals with the organization including weekly updates
- send all training documentation to the Human Resources Department
- ensure sales expectations are met while delivering high quality customer service
- identify leads, manage prospects, and acquire new business
- travel to customers and potential customer’s facilities providing information and support
- grow business by anticipating customer needs and providing appropriate solutions
- establish and maintain call frequency on major retail chain District Managers
- build rapport and trust with store key management personnel through visits and communication
- prepare tailored selling plans with in-depth knowledge of retail customers and product portfolio
- follow through on sales/service commitments to exceed expectations
- develop and maintain thorough knowledge of company products and pricing
- manage assigned company-generated leads
- complete scheduled prospecting to establish appointments with decision makers
- communicate weekly or daily with Division Sales Manager on activities and goals
- periodically visit stores to identify service strengths and opportunities
- ensure minimum two weekly customer visits to negotiate ads and displays
- attend grand openings and store anniversaries
- review weekly Out-of-Stock reports to address deficiencies
- use effective time management to service stores and build customer relationships
- plan for route organization, rerouting, or running a route as needed
- ensure stores are well serviced without credits
- follow all procedures on safety and company compliance
- attend all required safety meetings
- ensure all equipment is in good working condition
- ensure truck inventory compliance
- adhere to company personal hygiene policies
- perform other duties as assigned
