Job Requirements
- 1 year of experience relevant to customer service in an office environment, logistics or ocean transportation
- Intermediate computer skills with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Intermediate to advanced English and Spanish communication skills both written and verbal
- Organized individual with ability to prioritize

Job Duties
- Provide support to operations across multiple inbound groups including Miami, NE, and Gulf
- Ensure all shipment documentation is filed in the shared outlook folder under the correct vessel for record keeping and retrieval
- Respond to calls and emails promptly and professionally
- Communicate verbally and in writing with customers and coworkers in the US and abroad
- Verify documentation adherence to government regulations
- Confirm cargo release by government agencies
- Coordinate with credit and collections regarding customer credits and payments
- Review bills of lading, delivery orders, ocean freight payments, and additional charges before cargo release
- Schedule delivery dates and times and release to transportation teams
- Inform refrigeration mechanics about equipment deliveries
- Notify customers of any delays or damages
- Close all vessels within the timeline required by U.S. Customs
- Prepare and send G.O. paperwork for uncleared cargo to the appropriate warehouse
- Prepare paperless documentation (CF7512) and validate with U.S. Customs
- Monitor bonded cargo releases and keep the transportation department informed
- Ensure perishable cargo is properly released by CPP (USDA) and inform customers or brokers about holds or fumigation needs
- Schedule fumigation and re-stacking activities coordinating with relevant departments
- Manage heavy phone communications to assist customers with customs clearances and procedures
- Coordinate damaged equipment transfers and obtain necessary authorizations
- Oversee LTL cargo availability and release to warehouse via the AS400 system
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
