Job Requirements

  • Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language
  • previous food & beverage experience preferred
  • average knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks
  • driving a company vehicle is an essential function of this role, a valid California's drivers license is required
  • responsible beverage service certification and San Diego County food handlers card (not required upon hire)

Job Duties

  • Answer the telephones using courteous, efficient telephone etiquette while obtaining all information necessary to process the guest's order according to Four Seasons standards
  • anticipate and service of guests' requirements before requests are necessary
  • serve and clear food and beverage items in an unobtrusive and professional manner
  • complete opening and closing side work as assigned and have all tables set according to standard
  • utilize the residence club's computer system ringing up sales, printing checks, closing checks, and completing closing readings
  • carry trays, bus, and reset tables with, china, glass, and silver
  • coordinate delivery of items to the guestroom by room service servers in a timely manner to ensure proper food quality
  • ascertain a guest's satisfaction and handle any problem which may arise informing a manager of the problem and how it was resolved
  • recognize and address potential intoxicated disruptive or undesirable guests
  • stock and order items
  • carry hot boxes and provide oval tray service in a professional & comfortable manner
  • respond properly in any residence club emergency or safety situation
  • perform other tasks or projects as assigned by residence club management and staff
