Job Requirements

  • Experience as a server in a restaurant, club, or event venue
  • Smart Serve certification required
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical stamina to walk up and down stairs carrying trays
  • Ability to communicate clearly with guests in a noisy environment

  • Smart Serve certification required
  • Food handler certification preferred
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple orders and prioritize tasks
  • Proficiency with handheld POS systems
  • Knowledge of responsible alcohol service

Job Duties

  • Greet guests in assigned seating sections and provide menus or answer questions about offerings
  • Take food and beverage orders using handheld POS devices and relay orders to kitchen and bar
  • Deliver orders promptly and accurately, ensuring proper presentation and temperature
  • Process electronic payments and provide receipts
  • Check guest identification when serving alcoholic beverages and follow responsible service policies
  • Monitor guest needs throughout the event and offer refills or additional items
  • Communicate special requests or dietary restrictions to culinary staff
  • Maintain cleanliness of service areas and aisles and remove empty containers or waste
  • Collaborate with runners and other servers to ensure efficient service
  • Handle guest concerns professionally and communicate issues to supervisors as needed
