Job Requirements

  • Must be 19 years of age or older to serve alcohol
  • knowledge of the appropriate food and beverage preparations and service standards
  • limited knowledge of beverages and wines
  • knowledge of all menu items and accompaniments
  • basic knowledge of the English language sufficient to understand inquiries from customers and communicate preparation methods
  • ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items
  • ability to grasp, lift and/or carry or otherwise transport up to 50 lbs
  • knowledge of local attractions
  • knowledge of proper etiquette and manners
  • ability to multi-task
  • ability to work among a team atmosphere as well as alone
  • ability to perform duties in strict time parameters
  • ability to maintain service standards
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • no prior experience required

Job Duties

  • Prepare trays and deliver to rooms
  • maintain condition and cleanliness of work area
  • maintain complete guest satisfaction by maintaining service standards
  • check floors to be sure all trays and carts are retrieved
  • prepare and deliver guest amenities
  • keep room service areas clean
  • order and maintain food supplies
  • perform side work such as open, close and shift maintenance duties
  • pick up clean linen from banquets and return dirty linen to shipping dock
  • cash handling
  • perform other duties as assigned
