Job Requirements

Must be able to endure various physical movements throughout work areas
Must be able to reach up and down and remain stationary at times during work periods
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
Required to speak, read and write English fluently
Must have developed language skills to read and understand instructions and safety rules
Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
Must maintain confidentiality of guest information
Ability to stand for prolonged periods
Must be able to carry trays and lift heavy loads occasionally

Job Qualifications

One to two years server experience in room service or a restaurant of a 4 or 5-star hotel
Must be TABC certified
Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy
Good communication skills with guests and employees
Basic food and beverage knowledge
Ability to organize multiple tasks
Professional presentation

Job Duties

Set up food and beverage orders (table or trays) according to standards
Deliver orders to guests on time
Keep hotel floors clean and pick up trays and tables in guest hallways
Learn and suggest daily menu specials and full menu items to guests
Provide helpful and attentive service to meet all guest needs
Maintain a tidy and professional appearance
Follow directions and carry out delegated duties
