Job Requirements
- Ability to work full eight-hour shifts walking and standing
- Ability to transport up to 30 pounds continuously
- Ability to work flexible schedules including overnights, nights, weekends and holidays
- Basic knowledge of appropriate table settings and service ware
- Strong guest service orientation
- Ability to operate beverage and toast equipment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one year of server experience
- Previous in-room dining food service experience preferred
- In-room dining cashier experience preferred
- Familiarity with FORBES standards preferred
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations
- Strong guest relations and etiquette skills
- Ability to memorize and promote menu items
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Duties
- Set up room service trays and tables in anticipation of incoming orders
- Retrieve check from order taker, set table and pick up order from kitchen or bar
- Ensure completeness of order including all food, beverages, alcoholic drinks and condiments
- Deliver room service orders to guests with friendly and courteous manner
- Present check and obtain payment from guests
- Deliver payment and signed checks to order taker for closing
- Assist bus persons in removing trays and tables from guest floors and returning them to designated locations
- Prepare and deliver complimentary fruit baskets to guest rooms
