Job Requirements

  • Minimum of one year experience in customer service or the foodservice or hospitality industry
  • must meet the minimum age requirements for food and alcohol service
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays according to department needs
  • ability to obtain relevant state and local government certifications such as food handlers certificate or alcohol training certifications as applicable to the position
  • ability to lift 30lbs

Job Duties

  • Accurately and quickly take and place orders and input them into the POS system ensuring correct timing and billing
  • deliver requested items in an efficient and timely manner
  • relate with guests about needs and satisfaction with the beverage and drinks, ensuring a consistently caring and high-quality service
  • retrieve orders from the POS system and communicate any special requests or modifications to the kitchen
  • maintain knowledge of all menu items
  • prepare the guest check accurately and collect payment or signature as required
  • operate, maintain, and properly clean all restaurant equipment and fittings
  • ensure that the food delivery is tidy and keep an accurate par of food items such as beverages and snacks, as well as non-food items like menu cards, napkins, straws, etc., on cart and in storage areas
  • use safe food handling procedures and maintain a safe working environment by using proper skills and food safety guidelines
  • clean and maintain in-room private or mini-bars
  • report damage or malfunctioning units
  • check quality and expiration of all items
  • discard and replace according to established procedures
