Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree in architecture, design, business, or project management
  • 5-7+ years of experience in architecture or design
  • Proven project management experience
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work setting
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Authorized to work permanently in the U.S.

  • Master’s degree in architecture, design, business, or project management
  • 5-7+ years of experience in architecture or design with strong project management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex architectural projects from schematic design through construction
  • Strong skills in stakeholder coordination and budget management
  • Experience developing design guidelines and managing RFP and bidding processes
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to thrive in a start-up or scale-up environment with flexibility and teamwork
  • Commitment to educational mission and equity

Job Duties

  • Ensure all Zeta buildings are built as beautiful, world-class, and joyful learning spaces in accordance with design philosophy and specifications
  • Maintain and continuously improve Zeta's design guidelines and specification guides
  • Develop and codify design guidelines for bidding purposes
  • Support development of RFPs and bid scope sheets for new facilities projects
  • Manage and work closely with contracted architects to align schematic design, design development, and construction documents with Zeta’s standards and safety requirements
  • Drive on-time project completion through stakeholder coordination and management of design components including development milestones, submittals, RFI close-outs, and punch lists
  • Ensure projects remain within budget via budget development, value engineering, cost-effective product selection, and negotiation of award pricing
  • Serve as internal expert on all design documents and maintain real-time issue logs
  • Develop and maintain project budgets and schedules and proactively manage off-track items
  • Support and execute scalable design and decoration of schools in coordination with building design consultants
  • Take on various tasks as part of a lean scale-up team to support broader team objectives
