Job Requirements

  • High school degree and/or G.E.D. certificate
  • Successfully completed a written Competency Evaluation
  • Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick
  • Ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to lift at least a specified amount of weight with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Current and valid driver's license with the ability to safely operate a vehicle in compliance with applicable laws and regulations with or without reasonable accommodations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Assist clients with homemaking activities including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms
  • Provide companionship through activities such as accompanying clients on walks, social or recreational outings and assisting with hobbies
  • Prepare meals and run grocery errands as needed
  • Maintain less than 20% of work time on general household tasks during shifts
  • Establish strong and trusting partner relationships with clients
  • Follow all safety procedures and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members and adapt to unique client needs
