- high school degree or g.e.d. certificate
- successful completion of a written competency evaluation
- sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick
- ability to deal effectively with the demands of the job
- read, write, speak, and understand English
- able to lift required weight with or without accommodations
- current and valid driver’s license with ability to safely operate a vehicle
- able to provide own transportation

Job Duties
- assist clients with homemaking activities such as vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors
- prepare meals and run errands such as grocery shopping
- provide companionship by accompanying clients on walks, social or recreational activities, and assisting with hobbies
- spend less than 20 percent of time on household work per shift
- maintain clear communication with clients and team members
- use personal protective equipment while delivering care
- document care provided as required
