Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in home care or elderly care beneficial but not required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to follow instructions and adhere to health and safety standards
- Willingness to undergo training in dementia and Alzheimer's care
- Ability to work flexible hours including full-time, part-time, PRN, or short shifts
- Basic cooking skills with attention to dietary needs
- Knowledge of emergency response protocols
Job Duties
- Give clients medication reminders
- Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside
- Assist clients with personal care and hygiene
- Help clients with routine exercises
- Plan and prepare meals with assistance from the clients
- Do the client's shopping or accompany them when they shop
- Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can't complete on their own
- Be a pleasant and supportive companion
- Report any unusual incidents
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
