Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must speak, read, and write English fluently
  • Valid state driver’s license with a clean 5-year driving record
  • Minimum 3 years of paramedic experience
  • Current NREMT-Paramedic certification
  • Current CPR certification
  • Current AED certification
  • Current ACLS certification

Job Duties

  • Provide emergency and routine medical care following accepted medical industry standards
  • Administer medications and treatments based on written or verbal orders from medical direction
  • Review prisoner medical records and confirm medical fitness to fly
  • Maintain custody of all medical records, medications, and government-issued medical equipment
  • Respond to in-flight medical emergencies involving prisoners, aircrew, or ground personnel
  • Prepare and submit required reports, including USM 210 incident forms
  • Conduct equipment checks before each mission
  • restock supplies at mission completion
  • Be available within two hours of schedule changes
  • support overnight missions as needed
