Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year air freight export coordination experience including routing of shipments, pricing, data entry and customer service
- minimum 1 year experience with Microsoft Office and transportation software
- 21 years of age or older
- able to work weekends, holidays and/or extended hours
- able to lift at least 50 pounds regularly
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on air freight export coordination experience including routing, pricing, data entry, and customer service, minimum 1 year of experience working with Microsoft Office and transportation software programs, fluency in English and Spanish, professional and positive demeanor, excellent customer service skills, collaborative work style, strong ethics and integrity, ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, good basic math skills, experience in secured logistics, advanced Microsoft Office skills, transferable BGS experience with knowledge of BITS, ATLAS, and GARCIA preferred, experience servicing customers in the transportation or logistics industry preferred, experience in a fast-paced high volume Import/Export department preferred
Job Duties
- Receive incoming calls, emails, and faxes from customers, affiliates, subcontractors, and agents and respond to requests for rates, billing issues, service queries, coordinate day to day activities for Import/Export shipments, interface and coordinate with customers, airlines, and field locations, partner with operations staff to determine accurate operational service capabilities, ensure compliance with IATA and US Customs requirements in document generation and cargo handling, diplomatically handle service concerns and channel complaints to the appropriate personnel, determine and secure required paperwork for international shipments including commercial invoices and customs documentation, arrange couriers as necessary with gateway airport offices, respond to inquiries regarding shipment status, prepare customs entries and follow up on the clearance process in partnership with internal and external partners, scan, file, copy, and assemble shipping documents including bills of lading and licenses, perform data entry for all export shipments and maintain physical file copies, research and resolve customer claims while ensuring the highest level of customer service, ensure all transportation arrangements comply with security regulations, collaborate with department members to manage workload and maintain high service quality
