Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years air freight export coordination experience
- Minimum 3 years working with Microsoft Office and transportation software
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Satisfy Department of Transportation requirements
- Valid firearms permit or ability to pass firearms licensing
- Valid guard card or ability to obtain one
- Able to work weekends, holidays and extended hours
- Able to lift at least 50 pounds regularly.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on air freight export coordination experience
- Minimum 3 years working with Microsoft Office and transportation field software
- Valid firearms permit or ability to obtain firearms licensing
- Valid guard card or ability to obtain required licenses
- Experience in a fast-paced high volume Import/Export department
- More than 3 years experience in transportation/logistics as a coordinator or shipment router
- Good basic math skills
- Experience with BITS, ATLAS, and GARCIA software
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Professional and positive demeanor
- Excellent customer service skills

Job Duties
- Receive incoming calls, e-mails and faxes from customers and respond to requests for rates and billing issues
- Coordinate day to day activities of the Import/Export team and interface with customers, airlines, and field locations
- Interface with regional managers to address operational concerns and maintain relationships with customers and overseas affiliates
- Partner with operations staff to determine accurate operational service capabilities
- Ensure compliance with IATA and US Customs requirements in document generation and cargo handling
- Prepare and submit service orders and quotations for billing and analysis
- Handle service concerns diplomatically, channeling complaints appropriately
- Determine and secure necessary paperwork for international shipments
- Arrange courier services as needed
- Respond to inquiries about item status in transit
- Prepare customs entries and manage clearance processes
- Scan, file, copy, and assemble various shipping documents
- Calculate duties or tariffs on merchandise
- Review rates and file customs entries
- Process post-entry work including ruling requests and refunds
- Verify compliance with federal regulations on merchandise export and import
- Prepare daily recaps and payments related to shipments
- Process inbound and outbound shipments in the Free Trade Zone
- Stay informed of customs changes and research customer claims to ensure excellent service
- Ensure all transportation arrangements comply with security regulations
- Collaborate with department members to ensure workload completion and high-quality customer service.
