Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- valid Customs Broker License required
- five to ten years of industry experience required
- five plus years of supervisory or managerial experience required
- ability to work onsite at assigned location
- ability to handle extended periods of sitting, computer use, standing, and walking
- ability to perform light lifting as needed
- good oral and written communication skills
- excellent client service skills
- intermediate computer skills
- must pass pre-employment substance abuse testing
- must successfully pass E-Verify check
- comply with drug-free workplace policies.
Job Qualifications

- bachelor's degree in international business, transportation, finance, or related discipline preferred
- valid Customs Broker License
- five to ten years of industry experience
- five or more years of supervisory or managerial experience

- strong analytical skills to review import performance
- knowledge of US Customs regulations and importation processes
- ability to interface effectively with federal agencies
- proficiency in recordkeeping and documentation standards
- experience in managing staff development and performance evaluations.
Job Duties
- Compile and prepare commercial regulatory documents for entry processing
- coordinate and confirm release while operating in compliance with US customs regulations
- coordinate or assist the release of goods from carrier, customs, or other governmental agency examinations
- monitor independent US Customs brokers to ensure proper declarations and compliance
- interface with US Customs and federal agencies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations as directed by VP of Imports
- provide consultation to clients on importation, regulations, inspections, and requirements
- review and distribute import performance and transit time analysis reports
- provide guidance and training to import staff on client service and documentation management
- establish and oversee recordkeeping standards in compliance with US Customs and company policies
- ensure high level of client service by personnel
- use superior communication skills to motivate staff and develop relationships with sales, executives, and clients
- oversee and manage staff professional development and productivity
- conduct bi-yearly performance reviews
- stay updated on emerging technology changes and innovations
- maintain data critical to supply chain initiatives
- perform any other duties required for compliance with US Customs and Border Protection
- perform other duties as assigned.
