Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in import coordination
  • strong knowledge of U.S. import regulations
  • hands-on experience importing food ingredients
  • familiarity with HTS classification
  • experience with customs brokers and freight forwarders
  • high attention to detail
  • strong communication skills
  • proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
  • familiarity with FSVP and food safety documentation

Job Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in import coordination, preferably in food or beverage manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. import regulations, CBP requirements, and FDA Prior Notice
  • Hands-on experience importing food ingredients or raw materials
  • Familiarity with HTS classification, duties, and landed cost calculations
  • Experience working with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and ingredient suppliers
  • High attention to detail
  • ability to manage multiple ingredient shipments simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills and proven cross-functional collaboration
  • Proficiency in Excel, ERP, and Food Safety systems (TraceGains)
  • Familiarity with FSVP, organic imports, and allergen documentation

Job Duties

  • Handle, process, and store import/export documentation
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs requirements
  • Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to ensure timely delivery of goods
  • Proactively manage delays, temperature issues, or transit disruptions impacting ingredients
  • Track and monitor shipment status to keep deliveries on schedule
  • Partner with customs brokers for compliant, timely clearance with CBP and FDA
  • Resolve issues or delays that arise during the international process
