Job Requirements

  • high school diploma
  • prior healthcare experience preferred
  • knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • ability to communicate effectively with external providers
  • attention to detail
  • ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • understanding of HIPAA regulations
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma
  • associates degree in health administration or related field preferred
  • five years of related healthcare experience preferred
  • knowledge of medical terminology
  • experience with Epic preferred
  • understanding of healthcare scheduling workflows order management and referral coordination processes
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to multitask in a high-volume environment
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality

Job Duties

  • act as a direct line of communication for outside providers office to correspond with regarding their patients imaging services
  • receive and transcribe imaging-related orders from outside providers
  • communicate with provider office to request new orders insurance information or demographics concerning patient
  • use a tracker log to enter patients step in process to be sent to outside providers on a weekly basis
  • check on patient orders to ensure timely scheduling of exams
  • act as a direct line of communication for providers for same-day or urgent requests
  • send reports to outside providers once exams have been completed
