Job Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
  • Food Handler Certification or Food Handler Card as required by local jurisdiction within 30 days of employment
  • Ability to work 34-40 hours per week with open availability Monday through Sunday
  • Experience in food preparation and customer service
  • Knowledge of cash handling policies
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years related experience
  • Experience in a high-volume customer facing environment preferred
  • Experience in a high-volume retail environment with knowledge of basic merchandising and selling concepts preferred
  • Food Handler Certification and/or Food Handler Card required within 30 days of employment

Job Duties

  • Prepare and maintain IKEA Food menu items according to the IKEA Food concept
  • Adhere to food handling, health, and sustainability standards
  • Respond to customer inquiries and process sales transactions accurately
  • Maintain equipment operation through adherence to operating guidelines
  • Conduct preventive and cleaning maintenance
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining and play areas
  • Oversee merchandising, pricing, stock rotation, and cleanliness in the Swedish Food Market
