Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking experience preferred but not required as training is provided
  • ability to work weekends and holidays
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • good physical stamina to lift up to 40 lbs
  • commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
  • strong communication skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience in a line cook position or similar role within the food industry is preferred
  • strong culinary skills with knowledge of cooking techniques and food preparation methods
  • familiarity with dietary department operations or dietary aide roles is beneficial
  • ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of food safety
  • strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy kitchen environment
  • a passion for cooking and a desire to continually learn and improve culinary skills
  • ability to lift up to 40 lbs

Job Duties

  • ensure that every meal that leaves our kitchen lives up to our standards of quality
  • prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
  • collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours
  • manage inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients reporting any shortages or needs
  • present yourself in a professional manner including following all uniform guidelines
  • maintain the cleanliness of food prep areas at all times and follow food sanitation standards to the letter
