Job Requirements
- ability to read and prepare all food recipes according to IHOP specifications
- ability to prepare food within outlined ticket times
- ability to read food tickets or receive verbal instruction
- capable of using knives and other food preparation equipment
- operate large volume cooking equipment like flat tops, deep fryers, stoves and dishwashers
- be able to stand for up to 8 hours during a shift
- be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- have full mobility of hands and arms while performing repetitive tasks
- show up to work on time
- be well-groomed with a clean uniform
- work well with others
- be self-motivated
- be reliable
- have a strong work ethic
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in food preparation or cooking is an asset but not required
- ability to follow detailed recipes and instructions
- strong communication skills
- ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- dependable and punctual
- basic knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- create food according to IHOP recipes and specifications
- prepare food within outlined ticket times
- read and interpret food tickets or receive verbal instructions
- operate large volume cooking equipment including flat tops, deep fryers, stoves and dishwashers
- set up and maintain cooking equipment
- verify stock and inventory
- maintain a clean and sanitary work area
