Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to follow recipes and cooking instructions accurately
  • Prior cooking experience in a restaurant or food service environment is beneficial but not required
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks

Job Duties

  • Prepare food according to IHOP recipes and specifications
  • Maintain food preparation within designated ticket times
  • Read and interpret food tickets or verbal instructions
  • Use knives and food preparation equipment safely and efficiently
  • Operate large volume cooking equipment including flat tops, deep fryers, and stoves
  • Set up kitchen equipment and prepare ingredients before service
  • Clean and sanitize workstations following health and safety guidelines
