Job Requirements

high school diploma or equivalent preferred
ability to stand for up to 8 hours per shift
ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
good hand and arm mobility for repetitive tasks
punctual and reliable
well-groomed with a clean uniform
self-motivated and strong work ethic
ability to work well with others

Job Qualifications

ability to read and follow detailed recipes
prior experience in a kitchen environment preferred but not required
capable of operating commercial cooking equipment
basic food safety knowledge
ability to work efficiently under time constraints
good communication skills
positive attitude and team player

Job Duties

prepare food according to IHOP recipes and specifications
prepare food within outlined ticket times
read and follow food tickets or verbal instructions
use knives and food preparation equipment safely
operate large volume cooking equipment including flat tops, deep fryers, stoves, and dishwashers
set up kitchen equipment and verify stock levels
maintain a clean and sanitary work area
