Delaware North Gaming is a prominent hospitality and gaming company currently seeking a full-time Culinary Supervisor to join their dynamic team at Southland Casino Hotel located in West Memphis, Arkansas. Southland Casino is a major entertainment destination featuring over 2200 slot machines, a variety of live table games including blackjack, craps, and roulette, simulcast wagering, and an expansive sportsbook. Job Requirements
- Manual dexterity sufficient to chop, mix, blend, whip various foods and liquids
- Ability to lift and carry large pans weighing up to 50 lbs
- Standing and walking for the entire length of the shift
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, overnight, split shifts, and on-call
- Previous culinary or kitchen experience
Job Qualifications
- At least two years' experience as a line cook including supervisory experience
- Ability to effectively communicate with others and lead in a fast-paced environment
- Attentive and detail-oriented
- Basic math skills with an ability to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions
Job Duties
- Supervise all team members and ensure food preparation and production meet quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of walk-ins and freezers and ensure kitchen equipment is in working order
- Supervise proper breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of food
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties
- Maintain food cost within parameters set by culinary leadership
- Partner with team members and restaurant managers to satisfy guests
