Job Description

Delaware North Gaming is a prominent hospitality and gaming company currently seeking a full-time Culinary Supervisor to join their dynamic team at Southland Casino Hotel located in West Memphis, Arkansas. Southland Casino is a major entertainment destination featuring over 2200 slot machines, a variety of live table games including blackjack, craps, and roulette, simulcast wagering, and an expansive sportsbook. Job Requirements

  • Manual dexterity sufficient to chop, mix, blend, whip various foods and liquids
  • Ability to lift and carry large pans weighing up to 50 lbs
  • Standing and walking for the entire length of the shift
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays, overnight, split shifts, and on-call
  • Previous culinary or kitchen experience

Job Qualifications

  • At least two years' experience as a line cook including supervisory experience
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others and lead in a fast-paced environment
  • Attentive and detail-oriented
  • Basic math skills with an ability to understand, calculate, and follow recipe measurements and proportions

Job Duties

  • Supervise all team members and ensure food preparation and production meet quality standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of walk-ins and freezers and ensure kitchen equipment is in working order
  • Supervise proper breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating, and storage of food
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties
  • Maintain food cost within parameters set by culinary leadership
  • Partner with team members and restaurant managers to satisfy guests
