Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument qualification
- meet PHI’s total flight time requirements
- current Class II FAA Medical Certificate
- minimum 2000 hours total flight time with 1500 hours helicopter
- minimum 1000 hours PIC helicopter
- meet and maintain weight restriction
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- ability to pass pre-placement physical exam and functional capacity exam
- pass drug screening and background check
- reside within one-hour commute of base
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument qualification
- current Class II FAA Medical Certificate
- minimum 2000 hours total flight time including 1500 hours helicopter
- 1000 hours PIC helicopter time
- strong customer service aptitude
- ability to communicate effectively verbally in person and by radio
- meet and maintain weight restriction for flight personnel
- pass pre-placement physical exam including functional capacity exam
- drug screening
- background check
Job Duties
- Operate PHI’s helicopter for patient, maintenance, and administrative flights
- ensure all paperwork is completed neatly and accurately
- maintain airworthiness by monitoring aircraft status before, during, and after flights
- represent PHI professionally and courteously to customers
- report all mechanical malfunctions in the engineering logbook
- communicate mission status with medical crew, passengers, communication center, and maintenance
- support company Safety Management System activities
- load and unload stretcher patients or isolettes
- complete required written logs and FAA reports
- comply with other assigned duties
