Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument qualification required
- Minimum 2000 hours total flight time with 1500 hours in helicopters
- Minimum 1000 hours as PIC of helicopters
- Must meet weight restriction limit for flight personnel
- Ability to communicate verbally and clearly
- Must pass pre-placement physical including functional capacity exam, drug screening and background check
- Must reside within 1-hour commute of base
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with instrument rating
- Minimum 2000 hours total flight time including 1500 hours in helicopters
- Minimum 1000 hours as pilot in command of helicopters
- Current Class II FAA Medical Certificate
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to communicate clearly in person and by radio
Job Duties
- Operate PHI’s helicopter to transport critically ill or injured patients
- Conduct preflight inspections ensuring aircraft airworthiness
- Comply with FAA regulations and PHI policies during all flights
- Communicate mission status and coordinate with medical crew and maintenance
- Complete accurate paperwork and reports post-flight
- Load and unload patients safely
- Support Safety Management System activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
