Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in high-volume upscale restaurants
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • strong knowledge of bar equipment and drink preparation
  • current Food Handler's Certification and TABC Certification
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • commitment to punctuality and professional appearance

  • ability to stand for long periods and lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • proficiency in using knives and other equipment
  • current Food Handler's Certification and TABC Certification
  • knowledge of proper sanitation procedures and alcohol service regulations

Job Duties

  • Interact with guests and coworkers in a friendly and professional manner
  • arrive on time for scheduled shifts, ready to work
  • assemble/dismantle bar area according to proper procedures
  • maintain cleanliness of entire bar during shift
  • prepare all drinks, garnishes, mixers, syrups, etc. according to the proper procedure recipe
  • assist guests with any questions or concerns in regards to the menu including liquor, beer, and wine knowledge
  • handle all cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently
  • execute proper food delivery, placement, and removal at all tables
  • pre-bus and manicure tables throughout the restaurant
  • communicate any questions or issues to management team promptly
  • communicate and work together with coworkers and management in a friendly and enthusiastic manner
  • perform appropriate opening and closing duties including cleaning and sanitizing workstations after every shift
  • set up the team for the next shift for success
  • practice proper sanitation procedures and follow regulations regarding alcohol sale and service
  • participate in continuing education courses
  • maintain beverage inventory and restock service bar prior to shift end
  • assist in washing and restocking glassware
  • maintain records of spills and comps
  • clean and maintain all equipment and utensils
  • report equipment issues immediately to supervisor
  • have complete knowledge of food and bar menu and mixing drinks according to Ida Claire's recipes
