Omni Fort Lauderdale Hotel is an upcoming premier hotel set to open in Fall 2025 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This 29-story hotel is strategically located at 1950 Eisenhower Boulevard and is directly connected to the Broward County Convention Center. The property will stand as an iconic landmark offering spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean and South Florida's vibrant environment. Job Requirements

  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistance
  • Frequent bending, reaching overhead, twisting and consistent use of hands and arms
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods or an entire work shift in indoor and outdoor environments
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays
  • Minimum 1-year bartending experience
  • Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English
  • Ability to handle stressful situations while maintaining calm
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to prioritize and follow up on guest needs

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 1-year bartending experience
  • Developed knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer with experience selling and presenting wines
  • Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently input information into MICROS
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with a calm and welcoming demeanor
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers within and outside the department
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and follow up on guest requests in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent customer service, service recovery and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Follow, enforce, comply, and adhere to all Omni rules, policies, procedures, standards and recipes at all times
  • Properly set-up and maintain a clean efficient bar throughout the shift
  • Greet guests with a pleasant smile and superior customer service
  • Take orders and answer questions or offer suggestions on food and beverage menu selections and daily specials
  • Mix drinks for servers according to standard recipes
  • Maintain familiarity with the wine list and appropriate stemware and garnishes
  • Follow procedures outlined in employee and bartender's manuals
  • Ensure consistency in presentation and recipes of all cocktails
  • Enforce all policies related to liquor liability laws
  • Record transactions accurately in MICROS system and adhere to cash handling standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas
  • Present accurate checks to guests and process payments
  • Perform station set-up and breakdown and complete side-work tasks
