Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently and 10 pounds constantly
- Ability to perform physical activities including balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, finger dexterity, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Visual ability to see from more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with or without correction
- Ability to identify and distinguish colors
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen
- Willingness to work in a noisy, temperature-variable, and fast-paced environment
- Ability to adhere to company dress and hygiene policies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write identifying information and request supplies orally or in writing
- Commitment to customer service and teamwork
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards
Job Duties
- Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
- Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner, whether in the designated department or elsewhere in the store
- Make effort to learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible
- Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading or unloading heavy items, noting customer suggestions and performing tasks to enhance the shopping experience
- Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to callers
- Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Prepare the woks by cleaning, heating and adding oil
- Cook soups first then meats
- Prepare vegetables and sauces by adding spices and combining all ingredients with the meat
- Place food in hot cases, monitor amounts and refill as necessary
- Order product and supplies when necessary or notify department head of needs
- Clean work area at the end of the shift
- Fill the cold case with fresh-made food
- Prepare items for the next day after all other tasks are completed
- Maintain strict adherence to hygiene, dress, and company policies
- Report to work as scheduled and on time
