Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently and 10 pounds constantly
  • Ability to perform physical activities including balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, finger dexterity, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • Visual ability to see from more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with or without correction
  • Ability to identify and distinguish colors
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen
  • Willingness to work in a noisy, temperature-variable, and fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adhere to company dress and hygiene policies

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
  • Ability to write identifying information and request supplies orally or in writing
  • Commitment to customer service and teamwork
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with food safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
  • Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner, whether in the designated department or elsewhere in the store
  • Make effort to learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible
  • Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading or unloading heavy items, noting customer suggestions and performing tasks to enhance the shopping experience
  • Answer the telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service to callers
  • Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
  • Prepare the woks by cleaning, heating and adding oil
  • Cook soups first then meats
  • Prepare vegetables and sauces by adding spices and combining all ingredients with the meat
  • Place food in hot cases, monitor amounts and refill as necessary
  • Order product and supplies when necessary or notify department head of needs
  • Clean work area at the end of the shift
  • Fill the cold case with fresh-made food
  • Prepare items for the next day after all other tasks are completed
  • Maintain strict adherence to hygiene, dress, and company policies
  • Report to work as scheduled and on time
