Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to perform physical tasks including balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Visual acuity including color vision
- Ability to follow detailed but simple instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must report to work on scheduled times
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to carry out simple written or verbal instructions
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Ability to write identifying information and request supplies
- Experience working in food preparation or retail environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team

Job Duties
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
- Makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name
- Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing items out of reach, loading/unloading, passing along requests
- Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service
- Works with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
- Prepares woks by cleaning, heating, and adding oil
- Cooks soups and meats
- Prepares vegetables and sauces, adding spices
- Combines ingredients with meat
- Places food in hot cases and monitors/refills as necessary
- Orders products and supplies or notifies department head
- Cleans work area at end of shift
- Fills cold case with fresh-made food
- Prepares items for next day
- Understands all aspects of Hy-Chi kitchen
- Maintains hygiene and appearance standards
- Adheres to company policies and store guidelines
- Reports to work on time
- Checks rice as time permits
- Takes customer orders when necessary
- Assists in other store areas
- Performs other job duties and special projects
