Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • Visual acuity including color vision
  • Ability to follow detailed but simple instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must report to work on scheduled times
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to carry out simple written or verbal instructions
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
  • Ability to write identifying information and request supplies
  • Experience working in food preparation or retail environment preferred
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
  • Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
  • Makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name
  • Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing items out of reach, loading/unloading, passing along requests
  • Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service
  • Works with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
  • Prepares woks by cleaning, heating, and adding oil
  • Cooks soups and meats
  • Prepares vegetables and sauces, adding spices
  • Combines ingredients with meat
  • Places food in hot cases and monitors/refills as necessary
  • Orders products and supplies or notifies department head
  • Cleans work area at end of shift
  • Fills cold case with fresh-made food
  • Prepares items for next day
  • Understands all aspects of Hy-Chi kitchen
  • Maintains hygiene and appearance standards
  • Adheres to company policies and store guidelines
  • Reports to work on time
  • Checks rice as time permits
  • Takes customer orders when necessary
  • Assists in other store areas
  • Performs other job duties and special projects
