Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions
  • ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers
  • ability to follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
  • must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly
  • must have vision from more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with or without correction and ability to distinguish colors
  • must be able to perform balancing, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, finger dexterity, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • willingness to work in a fast-paced environment exposed to noise, temperature extremes, and cleaning chemicals
  • ability to report to work on time and maintain adherence to company policies

Job Duties

  • Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
  • smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
  • makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible
  • assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, and passing along customer suggestions
  • answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service
  • works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
  • prepares woks by cleaning and heating to appropriate temperature, adding oil and cooking ingredients such as soups, meats, and vegetables with spices
  • places food in hot cases, monitors amounts, and refills as necessary
  • orders products and supplies when needed or notifies department head
  • cleans work area at the end of the shift
  • fills the cold case with fresh-made food
  • prepares items for the next day including properly storing meats
  • maintains strict personal hygiene and dress standards
  • adheres to company policies and store guidelines
  • reports to work on time when scheduled
