Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years route driver or box truck driving experience
- valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- DOT medical card
- ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- excellent customer service skills
- compliance with federal, state and local transportation regulations
- age 21 or older
- physical ability to perform very physical labor
- ability to communicate in English
- willingness to undergo mandatory immunizations and credentialing if required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 3+ years experience driving straight trucks and box trucks
- valid driver’s license with excellent driving record
- age 21 or older
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently
- ability to obtain DOT medical card
- familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations on waste transport
Job Duties
- Performs onsite/offsite document destruction or pick up and transport medical waste
- plans daily schedule based on customer needs and paperwork
- prepares and loads trucks to service accounts
- ensures customers comply with packaging regulations
- provides high-level customer service and communication
- performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- reports maintenance issues
- operates company equipment safely
- complies with driver fitness and hours of service laws
- completes assigned paperwork and DOT logs accurately
- maintains security and integrity of collected materials
- uses hand-held devices to track service
- communicates route and pickup changes
- ensures smooth route handovers
- manages routes to collect materials timely
- responds to customer issues and inquiries
- performs other assigned duties
