Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years route driver or box truck driving experience
  • valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • DOT medical card
  • ability to lift up to 100 pounds
  • excellent customer service skills
  • compliance with federal, state and local transportation regulations
  • age 21 or older
  • physical ability to perform very physical labor
  • ability to communicate in English
  • willingness to undergo mandatory immunizations and credentialing if required

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years experience driving straight trucks and box trucks
  • valid driver’s license with excellent driving record
  • age 21 or older
  • ability to read and speak English sufficiently
  • ability to obtain DOT medical card
  • familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations on waste transport

Job Duties

  • Performs onsite/offsite document destruction or pick up and transport medical waste
  • plans daily schedule based on customer needs and paperwork
  • prepares and loads trucks to service accounts
  • ensures customers comply with packaging regulations
  • provides high-level customer service and communication
  • performs pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • reports maintenance issues
  • operates company equipment safely
  • complies with driver fitness and hours of service laws
  • completes assigned paperwork and DOT logs accurately
  • maintains security and integrity of collected materials
  • uses hand-held devices to track service
  • communicates route and pickup changes
  • ensures smooth route handovers
  • manages routes to collect materials timely
  • responds to customer issues and inquiries
  • performs other assigned duties
